Financial Housekeeping Part 3- Credit Card

Right, I'm still trying to reduce my outgoings everywhere I can. So I moved onto my credit card today. I have a balance on my card that rolls over from month to month. It's not huge but big enough that it is going to take me a while to get it down. It's a little hangover from our honeymoon. The card has been retired to the drawer until it's gone. So I rang my provider today who charge an APR of 13.9% and asked could they do any better than that? The result, a reduction of 2% APR. Not bad for a 5 minute phoencall no? If you have a balance and it's going to take you a while to clear it, get on to your provider and ask for a better interest rate.
