Gavin is looking to raise funds for his cousin Victor who sustained a serious spinal injury whilst playing rugby with Longford RFC in October of 2005. Having played rugby for most of my life, I can appreciate the seriousness of such an injury. I remember whilst still quite young being carted off to hospital in a neck brace on a backboard following an injury sustained at the bottom of a scrum. Luckily I only sustained some muscular injury and strains as opposed to any serious injuries. However, all the way to the hospital the thought that I may have done irreparable damage to myself was a sobering one. Gavin's cousin however, was not so lucky. Do what you can to help out.
